WEBINAR 1 -   TEACHING ENGLISH TO YL USING VISUALS I think this webinar was the best webinar I watched. Despite the fact that the teacher told about many things that I had already seen, I really liked the way she conducted the classes. It was a pleasure to listen to this Lady. I liked the fact that we were able to actively participate in these activities. The leader asked us many questions. I also liked how the host showed a video in which the girl uses only words and in the second video she showed how the girl builds sentences (the book is mine, not only book). It was a surprise to me that the organization of vocabulary from the shortest to the longest words is wrong. I thought it was worth introducing short words to children first and then long words. I was wrong. The host also showed us a few websites that will be helpful for us to create various educational games for children, e.g. learningapps. I really like this site and use it often, so I made sure it was a good site to crea
TEACHING MSP  In the first film, the teacher started the class by introducing himself, he immediately introduced a very good atmosphere. The children were very interested. The teacher then brought the children a box of surprises and the children took turns taking (fruit) out of the box. The lecturer asked the children what it was. It was great that the kids could see real objects and cards. It was evident that the children knew this vocabulary because they immediately knew the names of the fruits. Then the children recognized the fruit by the touch. This was new to me because it was the first time I saw it in movies. I like the fact that children could use not only the sense of sight but also touch to recognize the fruit. I think this video will be one of my favorites. You can see that the children are happy to repeat the vocabulary after the teacher. I also liked how the teacher linked the old vocabulary with the new one: on, in. I also really liked that the kids could experience
WEBINAR 2 – TEACHING WITHOUT COURSEBOOKS IN A PUBLIC KINDERGARTEN In the second webinar, the host showed us many coursebooks she works with. I liked the fact that it didn't show the title pictures themselves, but I could see example tasks that are included in the book. For example, she showed us the "Hello Kids" coursebook, in which there is a lot of help that we can use when teaching children. This was very helpful as it is a convenience for the teacher and not all worksheets have to be made by himself. It gave me a lot of inspiration. She showed us why it is worth using coursebooks and why not. I found it interesting that one of the downsides to using coursebooks is that most of the time the children are sitting at the tables. I had never thought before that this was actually the case. At the same time, I was not surprised by the information on: If not coursebooks, what else? The lady suggested flashcards here. I don't think it was new to me. I know this tea
WEBINAR 3 – Classroom Management The last webinar I attended was about Classrooom Management. The facilitator shared with us the collection of practical tips for teacher. I liked the way she talked about attention grabbers. The strategy was interesting to me: if you can hear my voice clap once. My attention was also focused on useful tools to divide class into groups. Once in class I heard about sticks with names but never heard about the wheel of fortune. It was new to me and I will gladly use this tool in my practice. Another thing that interested me about this webinar was that the facilitator mentioned that students know the plan for today. I also liked the instructions in the form of a flashcard which give information on how to make the children look at the teacher and be quiet. She told us not to say "be quite, stop doing this" to the children and use cards with instructions instead. The webinar helped me understand the importance of classroom routine. It is also impo

Źródło: Grafika Google   A few things about mixing languages while learning English.   Hi! Recently I watched a movie where the teacher spoke Polish and English to children. I would like to present to you my opinion on this. The lesson began with a song the children knew very well. It was evident that the children were eager to sing it and made the appropriate movements. I think this song starts every English lesson in this group. By the way, an interesting way to start classes! A few words about the purpose of the lesson. I think the aim of the lesson was to consolidate the vocabulary with a song. Children willingly sang the song and performed the appropriate activities. Earlier, the teacher and the children recalled the words that were in the pictures. It was evident that during the song the teacher puts a lot of emphasis on individual words, thanks to which children will probably remember the vocabulary better. I found this part of the lesson interesting. However, I didn&#

Today's post will be about a lesson in a private kindergarten "Smerfuś" in Busko Zdrój. The video presents several suggestions for playing in a circle. At the beginning, the teacher starts playing with the children: "Hello how are you today? Nice to see   (child's name)". In the video, we see a lot of games with songs, for example songs with numbers, such as children counting to 15, songs about food, emotions, abc song, toys, walking song. I enjoyed playing with food the most. The teacher took the fruit out of the box and asked what color is it. After that, the teacher asked what do you like and the children answered I like (food they like). I think this activity was very fun because she practiced not only remembering but also repeating phrases, colors, fruit names. One activity and so many things were practiced in class. I liked the abc song fun the least, because I don't quite understand what it brings, what it teaches. Perhaps it would be worth repeat

Źródło: Grafika Google Today's post will be about the video I recently watched "English lesson at the Żagle school" in grade 0.   The lesson began with the teacher asking the children to sit down. After a while, the teacher greeted the boys, then carry out a short movement game with them. Then the teacher showed the boys flashcards with animals and asked them what they saw on the cards. He put the flashcards to the board and played "what's missing?" with the children. The teacher took one card and the children had to guess what picture was missing. The next exercise was playing a game. The teacher divided the boys into two groups. The groups' task was to guess what number or animal was on the card. Which group first guessed got a point. I really enjoyed the activity of guessing which flashcards are missing, because this activity not only exercises students' memory but also revises the vocabulary. In my opinion, the teacher had a little discipli

Today's entry will be about teaching aids - FLASHCARDS. Flashcards for learning languages are double-sided cards with a word in a foreign language on one side. They don't necessarily have to be two-sided. Flashcards are great teaching aids that I like very much!  The English teacher can use new words to teach children, revise material, ask questions. In my opinion, flashcards are suitable for all children, starting with the youngest in kindergarten. Flashcards will also be a good teaching aid for children aged 3 and 8. Thanks to this, children develop memory, attention and practice pronunciation. Flashcards can be used for a variety of topics for example family, items, food, vehicles, jobs.  Here are some ways to use your flashcards: memory game - the child's task is to find the same cards what's missing? - we show a few cards, then take one or two and ask the child what is missing? questions - we show the cards and asq questions about what is on it. Flashcards are a gr
